Week 2 Research on idea.

After  the pecha kucha presentation, Sweii have send an e-mail and stated that we need also need to create out the project statement & 54321 poster for this assignment. The submitted idea need to be detailed. Before start to think about the real idea, I have done some research on it.

Augmented Reality

1) BroadcastAR Augmented Reality for National Geographic Channel / UPC

INDE Appshaker recently launched a unique way for people to interact with the amazing world of National Geographic Channel's content from around the globe.Using the principles of augmented reality, people could immerse themselves in different scenes such as dolphins, leopards, the space landings, dinosaurs and more.1000s of people interacted with the National Geographic Channel brand in the process as it toured Hungary, with 1000s more people sharing snapshots and video on Facebook as a result.
2) USPS - Irresistible Mail

Working with the incredible team at Sarofsky, I had the pleasure of doing 2D/3D animation and compositing for the U.S. Postal Service's Irresistible Mail campaign. This series of videos demonstrates the USPS capabilities in emerging marketing technologies such as AR (Augmented Reality), NFC, QR. From Sarofsky: "The IrresistibleMail.com website from MRM//McCann New York for the U.S. Postal Service destroys the myth that mail is old news by showcasing the latest innovations, case studies and digital technologies to turbo-charge your next direct mail campaign. To fully engage visitors and demonstrate all the possibilities, MRM invited Sarofsky to create seven different demos that are now featured throughout the site."

3) Whack

WHack is a mobile application that allows a user to digitally place social content in real three-dimensional spaces through the use of augmented reality. Place images on walls, animations on windows or fill a building with typography in a digital space that is constantly evolving. WHack blurs the boundaries between digital and  real space. It’s a celebration of street art, a chance for exploration, a new platform for expression.WHack is an award-winning project. Me and one other team mate travelled to Amsterdam in April and competed in the international Spin Awards Young Talent finals. In this time we managed to achieve the grand gold prize, beating 12 of the best universities in Europe.

4) Where Is the Light?

IAD students Alissa Lorentz och Rebekka Quiroz-Wiberg were approached by Swedish band The Amplifetes to create the music video to their single "Where is the light". The creative duo created a game where the viewer becomes a player. The Amplifetes have never been afraid to push boundaries and try new things. Their forthcoming album, "Where Is The Light", harnesses the power of digital and introduces interaction and gamification into the conventionally passively consumed music video. The creative duo LorentznQuiroz created a music video game, set to the title track, which immerses the player into The Amplifetes world.Viewers can play and share their scores with friends in social networks. Those who have collected the highest number of light beams by December 31, 2012, will win a trip to the Kiruna Space Center on the Arctic Circle.

5) Mario Augmented Reality

Interactive Website

1)Xbox: Halo 5 - Guardians Visualizer

Coinciding with Halo 5's live action trailer launches, social commentary and UGC were visualized using WebGL particles in the shape of iconic character helmets.

3) Draw a better 2016

Draw a better 2016 is a charitable project designed to accomplish two main goals. The first one is to try to make those children, who are not as lucky as we were, have a little reason to smile during and after this Christmas. The other one is to try to make it so that you, me, and everyone, understands that if we go for it with a good attitude, some motivation and passion, this 2016 can be the best year of our lives.

4) Deja Vu

This is an interactive music video for new single “Deja vu” by KAMRA. By accessing the site on PC, views can create unique music video, which could make them feel the Deja vu moments.

5) 1000 Chrome Experiments

Chrome Experiments to showcase the work of creative coders who pushed HTML5 and JavaScript to the limits in order to build beautiful, unique web experiences. At first, the site had only 19 experiments, but we hoped they would be a source of inspiration for programmers who made art with open web technologies. Since then, we’ve been humbled by the quantity and quality of new submissions. Today, we’ve reached a major milestone: 1,000 experiments. To celebrate, we’ve created a special Experiment #1000 that visualizes every other experiment on the site. You can explore all 1,000 in a variety of ways, including a real-time code editor and a timeline with selectable tags. Click on the WebGL tag, for example, and you’ll see how that technology surged in popularity when it was added to Chrome in 2011.Along with Experiment #1000, we’ve redesigned ChromeExperiments.com usingPolymer. It’s mobile-friendly, so no matter what kind of phone or tablet you have, or how you hold it, the site scales smoothly. If you’re on your phone, you can also filter the list to mobile-compatible experiments by selecting the Mobile tag.
